Design Philosophy/Mission

As an interior designer my role is to guide my clients to determine their lifestyle and surround them with an ambience of sophistication of rich color and textures that gives them balance.  An accomplished designer serving Buffalo, NY and Sarasota FL.  Michelle’s expertise and creativity is reflected in her incredible ability to be sensitive to her clients and reflect their style while also creating the element of the unexpected in their surroungds.  Having been involved in numerous large scale commercial design projects, and with eperience managing large teams of designers, artists and craftspeople, she is a natural coordinator and leader.   Michelle is currently President of the Interior Design Association of Western New York.

Chochkey’s opened its doors in 2000 on Main Street in Snyder, and had soon moved the growing shop to Buffalo’s Art District on Elmwood Avenue.  Chochkey’s has developed into a full home decor and accessories boutique carrying merchandise selected by its owner, Michelle Peller White from all over the world.

In 2008 Michelle made the decision to close the Elmwood Avenue store in order to have more time to concentrate on her growing interior design cliental.  Michelle provides both residential and commercial design along with decorative painting on walls and furniture.  Michelle still pursues her greatest passion by traveling to NYC to the markets and design centers to bring quality unique art and accessories to her cliental.
