The Interior Design Association is a non-profit organization founded nearly 50 years ago to provide Western New York Interior Designers with a valuable networking and social platform. While this remains a core benefit of membership, the Association has evolved to offer additional advantages, including collaborative marketing efforts, educational programs, and initiatives aimed at building consumer awareness and trust.

The Association actively supports, and volunteers for community-based projects, such as the Junior League Decorator Show House, Ronald McDonald House, Kevin Guest House, Frank Lloyd Wright's Graycliff, Life Transitions Center (formerly Gilda’s House), and the Lewiston Christmas Walk Decorator Show House. By partnering with these organizations, the Interior Design Association of WNY elevates the aesthetic quality of these projects with the help of our loyal members who often donate project necessities contributing to the community’s development and well-being.

The Association also serves as a valuable resource for consumers seeking to identify a designer whose style aligns with their needs. All members are respected professionals who have field experience, and a professional demeanor. 

For Consumers:
The Association offers a directory of professionals specializing in a wide range of design services including space planning, window treatments, furniture, faux painting, and lighting design. Each designer’s biography highlights their areas of expertise and capabilities, making the website a helpful reference tool.

For Members & Industry Professionals Interested in Joining:
The Association provides members with access to educational resources, marketing opportunities such as advertisement on the IDA social media pages, a feature in DesignNY (included with your membership), and more.
